TEACHER’S CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT PRACTICES AND STUDENT’S ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE IN SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN NNEWI EDUCATION ZONE

The project examined the impact of teachers’ classroom management practices on students' academic performance in public secondary schools Nnewi Education Zone Anambra State. Four research questions were posed for study while a descriptive survey design was adopted. population this consisted students all 48 area with total 45,432. Simple random sampling used to select size 1362 respondents drawn from 12 government owned area. This questionnaire, which built four questions, collection data. questionnaire contained 24 question items, validated by 3 experts, reliability 0.83 data analyzed using mean. major findings show that teachers exert enormous influence students. are well qualified teach, but some still cannot manage effectively. It observed there is an interaction gap between and affects negatively. To end, recommended seminars workshop should be organized train acquit them necessary skills practices, will go long boost
